Twizzlers was conficasted from a cruelty case and turned over to Tilted Tavern in August of 2019. She was tied up to the same small enclosure for almost two years never touching grass. Her hooves were not trimmed the entire time and had grown out to almost 19 inches. With her overgrown hooves, Twizzlers could only walk on her knees causing her tendons to lose flexibility over time.

Twizzlers is now receiving physical therapy, pain medications, and is slowly learning how to walk upright again. It will be a long process, but she is a trooper!
